Hi, I am Md. Iftekharul Islam Sakib.

I am from Mymensingh, one of the most beau­ti­ful cities of a piece of heav­en named Bangladesh which is locat­ed on the south­ern part of Asia. With a very big heart, Bangladeshi peo­ple feel hap­py to live in har­mo­ny and endure dif­fi­cul­ties of life alto­geth­er. That is why we are the eighth hap­pi­est coun­try in the world in spite of being one of the most dense­ly pop­u­lat­ed coun­tries.

As of Novem­ber 2019, I am a grad­u­ate stu­dent pur­su­ing a Ph.D. in Com­put­er Sci­ence at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Illi­nois at Urbana Cham­paign (UIUC). Before that, I served the Depart­ment of Com­put­er Sci­ence and Engi­neer­ing (CSE) at Bangladesh Uni­ver­si­ty of Engi­neer­ing and Tech­nol­o­gy (BUET) as an Assis­tant Pro­fes­sor and cur­rent­ly in study leave for high­er stud­ies. I accom­plished my M.Sc. & B.Sc. from the same depart­ment in 2014 & 2018 respec­tive­ly, and joined my alma mater as a lec­tur­er just after my grad­u­a­tion in 2014. Ear­li­er, I passed Sec­ondary School Cer­tifi­cate (S.S.C.) from Mymensingh Zil­la School in 2006 and High­er Sec­ondary School Cer­tifi­cate (H.S.C.) from Shahid Syed Nazrul Islam Col­lege, Mymensingh in 2008.

I desire to do new, inno­v­a­tive, and com­pelling works that will be help­ful for all class­es of peo­ple. I will con­sid­er myself suc­cess­ful if any of my works can bring a smile to the hard-fought life of ill-off peo­ple. My inter­ests lie pri­mar­i­ly in net­work­ing and sys­tems. Specif­i­cal­ly, I am inter­est­ed in the fol­low­ing research par­a­digms:
